If you have not checked this young and fashionable New Zealand ball o’ pink fire yet, do it! One of the many fascinating people around the internet that I follow online.

A new entry in the “dooced” file.
by Steven Buehler on Feb.16, 2008, under From the Internet
Many a reader on this site may also know Heather Armstrong, a.k.a. Dooce, who was fired from her job for blogging, and then later La Petite Anglaise, who befell the same end over a year or so ago.

You can join in contributing to the fund to help support her husband and two little children that are left behind by using the ChipIn widget below.

The article about Susan is here on the web.

Updated 10 Jan 2008, correcting the spelling of Andrew Olmsted; thanks Gary. —SB
Andrew Olmsted, a writer for the Obsidian Wings blog—and an American soldier—was killed on Thursday while performing his duty in Iraq.
Obsidian Wings has published today a final note from Andrew, that he had requested to be posted in the event of his death. It shows much of his humor and wit in life, and also, I think, gives us some things to think about, whatever your political views are.
